The Parable Of The Well (Archives).

There was a certain city, and in that city, there was severe drought.

The people thirsted desperately for fresh water and, in their bid to keep from dying of thirst, began to invent other liquids.

Like most man-made inventions, however, these addictive fluids didn’t fully satisfy. They only caused a temporary high which wore off after sometime.

THE FENCE

Todd White shared the following true life story:

An atheist had a dream one night. He saw a long fence going on infinitely.

On one side of the fence was Jesus, the hosts of Heaven and angels.
On the other side of the fence was the devil, demons and the hosts of hell.

WHERE DO YOU PLACE YOUR ‘BUT’?

The first time I heard this statement from a minister, I chuckled, like most people in the congregation. It was more than the statement itself; it was the way he said it – and the wicked grin on his face when he did:

“Where do you place your ‘BUT’?! Put your ‘BUT’ in the correct place!”

It was hilarious.

However, beyond the humour, that single placement will radically influence your walk with God.

Let me explain…

Is The Bible Truly Enough?

About three or four years ago, I assisted in working on a religious thesis. The project took me on a research of many religions of the world, and it was eye-opening to study their origins. Some of these psuedo-religions were blatantly anti-Christ and anti-God, but others were more subtle.

The most fascinating for me were those that seemingly had their origins in Christianity or ‘Christian’ experiences, but later deviated into error…

Growing up, we used to attend a certain church. It wasn’t as large as it is now, but it was still quite known globally – to an extent.

A family member was a major leader there, and was very close to the Head pastor.

Then stuff happened. Politics, lies, manipulation came in and the family member left.

My parents who were leaders in the church were also unfairly stripped of their positions, simply because of their connection and personal convictions.

This topic has been bouncing around in my head – and I knew I had to write about it.

Years ago, I was between churches. I worked six days a week, so I needed one that, preferably, was close to the office. There were a few around, but one in particular had caught my attention…

Ask any Christian – and they’ll reel off the drill needed for spiritual victory: Pray. Read the Word. Meditate. Fast. Pray in the Spirit…and so on.

However, you can do all this – and still be a spiritual weakling.

Kenneth Copeland shared how his wife, Gloria, had been asking God to teach her how to fully and more powerfully operate in the spirit.
