SLEEP AND SPIRITUAL WARFARE

A few weeks ago, I started to feel physically exhausted and sleepy. I knew I had been very busy, so I initially shrugged it off. I would lie down, then sleep off immediately. I am a very light sleeper, but these times, I would sleep deeply. I thought it was mental exhaustion from work and certain situations.

However, I started getting concerned when I started to feel sleepy during church service. That was really weird…

WHEN GOD IS YOUR BOSS

It is easier to work for man than to work for God. Much easier – and I’m not talking about Christian service.

I’m talking about your “secular,” everyday, nine-to-five job or business…

THE FEAR OF MISSING OUT (FoMO)

You don’t have to be everywhere.
You don’t have to do everything.
You don’t have to get involved in everything.
You don’t have to KNOW everything.

The fear of missing out (popularly called FoMO) has become an epidemic in our culture – and it has seeped into Christian walk as well…

Your Consecrations And Your Relationships.

Consecrations can sound weird. A few examples. God can tell you:
– Live a fasted life. Eat once a day – and twice on special occasions.
– Delete certain apps – or abstain from social media altogether.
– No secular movies or music.
– No attending Happy Hour with your colleagues.
– Certainly no alcohol. Etc…

Starting Afresh With God – Daily

I used to have a pattern in the past. When I sinned or grieved God, I would go for long stretches without praying or talking to Him. I felt I was taking Him for granted by apologizing immediately – the way some humans did.

I had to take time to show how sorry I was before I could ask for forgiveness. It was as if I was doing penance.

So, you would like to marry a called man or woman – or you already married one.
You would like to have called children – or you already have them.

That’s great!

However, let me give you a little heads-up:

They. Don’t. Belong. To. You.
Their first love is not you.
Their highest loyalty is not to you.

YOU ARE NOT INDISPENSABLE.

His name was Richard, and he was powerfully used by God in signs, wonders, and miracles. He worked with another man of God, RB, who really owned the ministry. However, because RB recognized the gifts and grace on Richard, he would preach during meetings, then step down for Richard to take over.

Then it happened…

Dunsin Oyekan shared how, growing up, his dad would take him on ministers’ retreats and vigils. He was the only boy, and his sisters would lightly mock him because he would have to fast with his dad the whole day till they got home at night after the meetings.

He was frustrated and didn’t understand why he couldn’t be like other kids – or at least like his sisters.
