I love the Bible for two reasons:
(1) It Is Very Relevant
More and more people are realizing that – from money to marriage to business to sex to raising children to the workplace – the Bible really gives solid advice that is very relevant in our present world.
(2)It Is Very Real
Humans have a tendency to idolize or demonize people – painting those they love as complete saints or angels, and blackening those they dislike as total devils.

So, I got a new Bible at the beginning of the year.
I had heard someone talk about how he started every year with a new Bible, and decided to try it – but I was too much in love with my eight-year-old one, so I kept postponing it. Finally, this year, I decided to just go for it. I also got a slightly different version – the NKJV. (I know it’s not much different, but still…)
