His name was Richard, and he was powerfully used by God in signs, wonders, and miracles. He worked with another man of God, RB, who really owned the ministry. However, because RB recognized the gifts and grace on Richard, he would preach during meetings, then step down for Richard to take over.
Then it happened…
When God wants to promote or increase you in a certain area, He brings you into knowledge – usually through people who have some ‘higher’ knowledge in that subject.
Now, it’s easy to be humble when you are totally ignorant or clueless.
However, when you also have some measure of success or knowledge, it can be extremely difficult to ‘stoop’ to learn from another.
I had a ‘crazy’ friend who always made me collapse with laughter. She was unapologetically blunt, unafraid of anybody, unimpressed by what would impress most people – and the reigning queen of rapid comebacks and top-notch sarcasm…
