…spreading the fragrance of His knowledge…

Anytime I sing or hear this song, I rarely think about the size or majesty or mighty power of God.
Rarely.
Instead, what always comes to mind is the ‘maturity’ of God.
Let me explain…
At certain times in our lives, we get to crossroads where we have to make life-changing decisions.
Usually, at these points, we hesitate: Left or Right?
Yes or No?
Leave or Stay?
Keep or Cut off?…
I used to wonder why the master – in the parable of the talents – called the servant who hid his talent ‘wicked.’
Slothful? Yes. Fearful? I can understand…but ‘wicked’? That’s quite a stretch…
First, He woos, drawing you to Himself.
‘Taste – and see’, He says, ‘that I Am good’.
And you take – and sip
And you become…
Addicted.
We live in a world where Appearance is Everything:
Look a certain way. Sound another way. Act in this manner. Move with that group of people. Create this particular kind of impression…
