First, He woos, drawing you to Himself.
‘Taste – and see’, He says, ‘that I AM good’.
And you take – and sip
And you become…
Addicted.
The sip becomes rivers of living water,
Causing the rush in your veins,
The beat in your heart,
The hunger in your soul…
For Him.
Nothing else matters, nothing else satisfies.
It is fire in your bones, bitter in your belly,
But still you pursue…
Addicted.
Sometimes, He seems to hide,
Sometimes, it seems too hard,
But like the thirsty doe,
You hear the stream’s gurgle:
‘Come and drink…’
Like the entranced sailor,
You hear the sirens’ notes:
‘You do not seek in vain…’
And so you keep on…
Pursuing…
Gazing…
Changing…
Becoming.
“As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for you, O God.” Psalm 42:1

By His grace, we’ll keep pressing until our only gaze is Him. And after that, we’ll go a little more deeper
