WHAT WILL PEOPLE SAY? (WWPS) (Bootcamp Courage Series)

Of all the fears I’ve mentioned in this Bootcamp Courage series, this is probably the biggest fear God will deal with in the life of His children:
The Fear Of Public Opinion.

Ironically, when I began to write on this topic, I thought, “What will people think? They might misunderstand.” Then, it dropped, “Deborah, you are doing exactly what you are writing about”, and I laughed.

JUST DO IT…AFRAID.(Bootcamp Courage Series)

“Come to the edge,” He said.
“We can’t, we’re afraid!” they responded.
“Come to the edge,” He said.
“We can’t, we will fall!” they responded.
“Come to the edge,” He said.
And so they came.
And He pushed them…
And they flew.
(Guillaume Apollinaire)

Get ready.
We are in a time and season where God is going to ask you to do things that will take you beyond your comfort zone – way, way, way beyond your comfort zone.

THE TWO GRACES

In subsequent posts, we will see practical ways God helps us attain sexual purity, but before then, I will like to lay some groundwork for this series.

First, Abstinence is not Sexual purity.
While abstinence will be an outcome, it is much deeper than that. You can abstain from physical sex and still be impure in your heart and thoughts…

CONSISTENCY (Spiritual Bootcamp)

I know the previous posts have been brutal. Very brutal. But it’s a bootcamp. If you are being prepared by the Commander for the army, you cannot afford to play at this time. You cannot afford to treat your spiritual life lightly – especially when there are assignments to be executed, and there is a coming generation to be raised.

I won’t tell you the weapons needed for spiritual growth, or how to use them. You already know the drill: Pray. Read the Word. Meditate. Confess. Fast. Pray in the Spirit. There are tons of resources available on each subject.

However, I will tell you this.

Even if you do all the above, yet lack one thing, you will still be a spiritual weakling – and that is Consistency.

FULL ARMOUR – OR NAKED? (Spiritual Bootcamp)

Years ago, I was preparing to take the usual Sunday school class at church. The topic for that week was “The Whole Armour Of God”. It was/is a familiar topic – and I was ready to teach. The scripture passage, of course, was taken from the popular Ephesians 6:11-18.

As was the usual practice, I was having my personal study at home before leaving for the general review at church when, suddenly, it was as if a veil was torn away – and I saw myself in the Spirit.

I was naked – having only the helmet of salvation on.

THE RELATIONSHIP BOOTCAMP SERIES (Spiritual Bootcamp Introduction)

In a military bootcamp, new recruits are indoctrinated, trained to follow instructions, and undergo rigorous physical fitness training. Three major facts about a bootcamp are:
(1) It is usually intensive or gruelling
(2) It does not last forever
(3) It is meant to prepare the enlisted individual for the main army or war.

If you have not been called to a life of celibacy, your single period will be a series of bootcamps. These bootcamps can be discrete or continuous, occurring sequentially or concurrently – but they have one goal: To prepare you for your role in the family-army these end times.

In Spiritual Bootcamp, God’s major focus will be to Build Spiritual Capacity.
